UPSC announced Registration for Combined Defence Services Examination (II) 2013

UPSC will be conducting a Combined  Defence Service examination for admission in different courses. The candidate can apply for military, air force and naval courses.

UPSC will be conducting a Combined  Defence Service examination for admission in different courses. The candidate can apply for military, air force and naval courses. SSC women for nontechnical courses can also apply for these courses. Total 509 vacancies are available where unmarried candidates can apply who satisfy all the eligibility criteria.

Starting Date of filling application form: 25 May 2013
Last Date of filling the application form: 24 June 2013 till 11.59 pm

Name of Course and  No. of Vacancies:    
1. Indian Military Academy, Dehradun 137th Course- 250 vacancies
2. Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala- 40 vacancies
3. Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (pre-flying) training course- 32 vacancies
4. Officers Training Academy, Chennai 100th SSC course- 175 vacancies
5. Officers Training Academy, Chennai 14th SSC Women (non technical) course- 12 vacancies

Educational Qualification
For I.M.A and Officers Training Academy: Degree from a recognized university is the minimum qualification.
For Indian Naval Academy: Engineering Degree from a recognized institute or University
For Air force Academy: Degree from a recognized university (with physics and mathematics at intermediate level)

Age limit

For I.M.A: Candidate born between 2nd July 1990- 1st July 1995 are eligible.
For Officers Training Academy (SSC course for Men): Candidate born between 2nd July 1989- 1st July 1995 are eligible.
For Officers Training Academy (SSC Women Nontechnical Course): Candidate born between 2nd July 1989- 1st July 1995 are eligible.
For Indian Naval Academy: Candidate born between 2nd July 1990-1st July 1995 are eligible.
For Air Force Academy: Candidate born between 2nd July 1991- 1st July 1995 are eligible.
For all courses only unmarried candidates are eligible whether women applying for SSC course can be issueless widow and issueless divorcee can apply who have not remarried. Male divorcee/widower is not counted as unmarried hence, they are not eligible for the courses.

Application Process
Interested candidates can apply online through visiting the website www.upsconline.nic.in. Detailed information is provided on the website for the convenience of the candidate.

Selection process:
The candidate has to qualify the written examination first. Then the selected candidates are called for the intelligence and personality. The candidate will receive his/her admission e-certificate three weeks prior to the exam on the website. No admission card is sent by post.

Fill the complete for after carefully reading all mandatory information given in the detailed advertisement. A candidate can only apply a single course, multiple receipt of application can lead to cancellation of the form.
