Candidates who have qualified in the UPSC Civil Services Mains Examination have to fill up and submit DAF-II online mode through the official website. Candidates can fill the  DAF-II  from the 13th December, 2024 to 19th December, 2024 till 6:00 P.M.

After the announcement of CSE Mains result, now the Commission will conduct the Interview for the shortlisted candidates. The dates of personality tests (Interviews) of these candidates will be notified in due course of time.

You can check the result after following the steps given below.
Step 1: Visit the official website of the Union Public Service Commission at upsc.gov.in.
Step 2: Look out for the tab named ‘Results’ and click on it.
Step 3: After clicking on Results,click the tab ‘Civil Services 2024 Exam Mains Result’ 
Step 4: The result will open in PDF document.
Step 5: Download and save the samd for future reference.

The Personal Interview (PI) is the very crucial round for the entire selection process for Indian Civil Service exam which is the highly reputed service exam conducted by Union Public Services.  The basic qualities like interpersonal skills, situational judgment,course of action in any difficult situation  and administrative potential are evaluated here. It is noted that the personality test round carries a  total 275 marks which plays a crucial role in deciding the merit list.

Candidates who will qualify for the interview round should be acquainted with the Detailed Application Form-II (DAF-II) form which is an important step for the UPSC Civil Services Examination process. The updates provided by you in the DAF are very  crucial as your interview board asked you  the questions based on the same. It is important to fill the DAF-II  carefully and extensively without hiding or misleading the facts. 

Candidates who qualify in the mains round will be able to appear in the interview round.  Here the candidate will be asked questions on matters of general interest. The  basic objective of the interview/personality test is to assess the personal suitability of the candidate for a career in public service by a Board of competent and unbiased observers.

A total number of candidates applied for UPSC 2024 was 13.4 lakh. Out of these, 14,627 candidates have been shortlisted for the Mains exam.
