WBPSC Recruitment 2016: WBPSC Junior Engineer Exam, Apply @www.pscwb.org.in before 11 April

West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) invited applications for Junior Engineer recruitment examination 2016. The candidates eligible for the examination can apply through prescribed format on or before 11 April 2016.

The West Bengal Public Service Commission, will hold a Combined Competitive Examination for recruitment to the posts of Junior Engineers (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) in West  Bengal  Sub-ordinate  Service  of  Engineers  (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) under the various Departments , Directorates, other offices and establishments of Government of West Bengal.

WBPSC Junior Engineer Recruitment Exam 2016 will be held in June 2016. The examination will be held in the following branches of Engineering -i) Civil Engineering (ii) Mechanical Engineering (iii) Electrical   Engineering.

Eligibility for WBPSC Junior Engineer Recruitment Exam 2016:  Diploma  in  Civil/Mechanical/Electrical  Engineering  from  State  Council  for  Engineering  and  Technical Education, West Bengal or its equivalent. Departmental candidates will also be eligible to apply provided they possess the requisite educational qualifications. Ability  to  read,  write  and  speak  in  Bengali  (not  required  for  recruitment  in  the  case  of  Nepali  speaking candidates  from  the  three  hill  sub  divisions  of  Darjeeling  District,  viz.  Darjeeling  Sadar,  Kalimpong  and Kurseong). Not more than 32 years on the 01 January 2016.

Details of WBPSC Junior Engineer Recruitment Exam 2016

The  Examination will  be held  in two successive parts,  viz., (i) Written Examination (Multiple choice objective type questions) and (ii) Personality Test. The Written  Examination  will  be  held  in

Kolkata centre and  in Burdwan,  Medinipur,  Malda and Siliguri centres sometimes in the  month  of

June 2016 or  thereabout  followed  by  the  Personality  Test. The Personality Test  of  the  candidates selected on the basis of the results of the written examination will be held at the Commission’s office in Kolkata. Candidates who will be selected for appointment will be required to appear before a Medical Board for certificates of their fitness for Government service in the form prescribed for the purpose. The names of the candidates called to Personality Test and those recommended for appointment will be published provisionally subject to determination of eligibility of the candidates in all respects and verification of original certificates etc.

How to Apply: Candidates have to first go for “One Time Registration” (link available on top of the left panel in home  page  of  the  website www.pscwbonline.gov.in ) and fill up all the required data and uploading scanned photo and signature to get User ID and Password. The process of one time registration is mentioned in details in right panel of the home page of the website in “Instruction  to  Candidate”  link  under  Candidate’s  Corner. However, those  candidates  who  have  earlier  registered

themselves with PSC, West Bengal need not register once again. They can use their previous User Id and Password for login into their respective Dashboards. With the User ID and Password, as provided to the candidate, they need to login to their Dashboard through the link “Log in to your Account” which is available in right panel of the home page of the website under Candidate’s Corner. After  login  into  the  Dashboard,  candidates  will  find  the  name  of  the  Examination  with Apply  Now link.  Click  on  the  link  and  the  application form will be opened.

Candidates are required to submit application fee of Rs 160 (online/ offline mode). SC/ST  candidates of West  Bengal  and  Persons  with  disabilities  (PWD) having physical disability  of  40%  and  above  are not  required  to  pay  any  fee .  BC  candidates  of  West  Bengal  are,  however,  required  to  pay  usual  fee  as  aforesaid.  No exemption of fee is available to SC/ST/BC candidates of other states.
