What happens if a student fails pre-boards?

Mar 10, 2011, 11:32 IST

Is it necessary to clear pre-boards to appear in board exams?

Q: I failed in two subjects in the pre-boards and I have been asked by teachers to appear for exam again and clear it if I want to sit in board. My query is do I need to clear pre-board exams first in order to appear in boards?

A: The student cannot be detained from appearing in CBSE board exams if he/she is otherwise eligible. Failing in pre board exams cannot be used as a reason for detaining a student from appearing in board exams.
