Xavier Institute of Management admission notification for post graduate programmes: 2013

The Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) owes its origin to a Social Contract between the Government of Orissa and the OJS (Orissa Jesuit Society).  XIMB offers admission to different AICTE approved programs in management for the year 2013.

Name of Programs:

• Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)
• Postgraduate Diploma in Management (HRM) [PGDM-HRM]
• Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDM-RM)
• Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM-PT)
• Fellow Program in Management (FPM)

Important Dates

Eligibility Criteria:

Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) /Postgraduate Diploma in Management (HRM)/ Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDM-RM)

• Minimum three-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, with at least 50% marks in aggregate, from a recognized university/deemed university.

Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM-PT)

• Minimum three years Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, from a recognized University;
• At least 3 years of experience in executive capacity in an organization of repute in the public, private or non-governmental sector. Self-employed persons should have minimum 5 years of experience after obtaining qualifying degree;
• Age limit: Completed 24 years as on 01 July 2013
• No Objection or sponsorship certificate from the employer.

Fellow Program in Management (FPM)

• Postgraduates in any discipline (or professional field) related to management with at least 55% marks (or graduate engineers with at least 55% marks and having at least 2 years of work experience) are eligible to apply for the FPM.
• In case the score is available on a letter-grade system, the Institute expects a minimum cumulative score of 4.80 on an 8-point scale (or 6.00 on a 10-point scale).
• Although the eligibility criteria are defined in these terms, the Institute prefers applicants who have excellent academic record as well as rich managerial experience.

Admission Test

Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) /Postgraduate Diploma in Management (HRM)

Apply and appear for any one of the following written tests:

1. XAT to be conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur on 6 January 2013,
2. CAT to be conducted by IIMs during 11 October – 6 November 2012.

Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDM-RM)

1. IRMA written test to be conducted by Institute of Rural Management Anand on 11 November 2012,
2. 2.       XAT to be conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur on 6 January 2013
3. CAT to be conducted by IIMs during 11 October – 6 November 2012.

Fellow Program in Management (FPM)

1. You must write any one of the following written tests: CAT, GATE, UGC NET, XAT,
2. XIMB Research Aptitude Test (XIMB-RAT). XIMB-RAT will be conducted only at Bhubaneswar, at 3:00 pm on 5 January 2013.

Application Fee

• Rs.1000/- for one program.
• Rs.500/- each for every additional program/admission test.

How to Apply

Step 1:  Fill up the "Personal Details/Academic Details/Professional Details and upload your photo & signature" to create and receive a unique XIMB ID and Password for applying to XIMB.

Step 2:  Login with your XIMB ID and Password.

Step 3:  Choose the program you want to apply for and fill up the final part (Program Details) and submit.

Step 4:  Take a print out of the Payment Advice Form.

Step 5:  Pay the application fee.

Step 6:  Send the Payment Advice Form along with the application fee payment instrument/proof to:
