Arun Duggal, chairman of Shriram Capital Ltd announced to resign

He was serving the financial services entities of the Shriram Group - Shriram Capital Limited, Shriram Transport Finance Limited and Shriram City Union Finance Limited from the last 10 years.

Arun Duggal, chairman of Shriram Capital Limited on 19 November 2014 announced to resign from the chairmanship of the financial service entity of Shriram Group.

He was serving the financial services entities of the Shriram Group - Shriram Capital Limited, Shriram Transport Finance Limited and Shriram City Union Finance Limited from the last 10 years.

Instead, he will continue to be a trustee of Shriram Ownership Trust and continue to be on the board of Sanlam Insurance, South Africa.

Prior to joining Shriram Group, Duggal had a 26 years career with Bank of America, mostly in the US, Hong Kong and Japan. He spent ten years with the New York Corporate Office of Bank of America handling multinational relationships.

Earlier, from 1991-94 he served as Chief Executive of BA Asia Limited, Hong Kong where he looked after Investment Banking activities for the Bank in Asia.

In 1995, he moved to Tokyo as the Regional Executive, managing Bank of America's business in Japan, Australia and Korea. From 2001 to 2003 he was Chief Financial Officer of HCL Technologies, India.
