Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper resigned after a no-confidence vote was passed by 156-145 vote against him in the Canadian Parliament on 25 March 2011. Stephen Joseph Harper is the leader of the Conservative Party and 22nd Prime Minister of Canada. He was sworn as the Prime Minister on 6 February 2006. He was honoured with the prestigious Woodrow Wilson Award for Public Service. In 2008, he became the first Canadian to be awarded the B’nai Birth Presidential Gold Medallion for Humanitarianism.
