Cognizant Technology Solutions inked a five-year deal with Future Group on 13 February 2011. Cognizant, the technology solution company will provide technological assistance to all the companies of Future Group.
The US IT major will provide technological support to over 1,000 Future Group stores, including Pantaloons, Big Bazaar, Food Bazaar, Central, Home Town, and eZone, across 85 towns and cities in India. The deal will also cover new stores the company opens in the future.
In addition to desk support, data centre management, and network services support, Cognizant will also provide the mission-critical, last-mile IT infrastructure services support to Future Group's companies.
Cognizant will also help the Future Group to upgrade its technology and put in place the advanced mobile and kiosk technologies.
