India in FIFA World Cup
India by default qualified for the 1950 FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil due to withdrawal of all of their scheduled opponents. But they were not able to participate due to FIFA ruling after 1948 London Olympics Games that didn’t allow barefoot participation in the World Cup. However, there were also domestic reasons. India is ranked at 154th position in World Ranking.
