The Budget Session of the Parliament will begin on January 29, 2021. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that the first part of the session will conclude on February 15, comprising 12 sittings and the second part will begin on March 8 and conclude on April 8, 2021 and will comprise 21 sittings.

The Indian government has decided to celebrate January 23rd as 'Parakram Diwas' every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and inspire the youth of the country with his spirit.

January 23, 2021 marks the 125th Birth Anniversary year of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and the government of India has decided to celebrate the day in a befitting manner at the national and international level.

This will be in addition to the 30 million doses of the vaccine, for which a tripartite agreement has been signed between Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Serum Institute of India and the Bangladesh government.

India and Japan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) on January 18, 2021 for a Basic Framework for Partnership for Proper Operation of the System Pertaining to Specified Skilled Worker (SSW). The agreement was signed by Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla and Japanese Ambassador to India Suzuki Satoshi.
