Bangladesh team has won the title of SAFF (South Asian Football Federation) Under-20 Championship Football Tournament. This is the first time that Bangladesh has won this championship. Along with Nepal and Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, Maldives and Bhutan participated in this competition.

2. (b) Rs 4,136 crore

The Union Cabinet has decided to provide financial assistance to the State Governments of the North Eastern Region for development of hydroelectric projects. The Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Energy Ministry in this regard. Four thousand 136 crore rupees have been sanctioned for this scheme, which will be implemented from 2024-25 to 2031-32.

Karthik Venkataraman won the 61st edition of the Indian National Championship by scoring 9/11 points in the event organised by the Haryana Chess Association. This is the second win at the National Championship for Karthik, who also won the tournament in the year 2022.

Former world No. 1 T20I batsman David Malan has announced his retirement from international cricket at the age of 37.  Malan, who last played for England in the 2023 ODI World Cup in India. Malan has scored 4,416 runs in his career and has played a total of 114 matches in all three formats.
