Bangladesh team has won the title of SAFF (South Asian Football Federation) Under-20 Championship Football Tournament. This is the first time that Bangladesh has won this championship. Along with Nepal and Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, Maldives and Bhutan participated in this competition.

The Union Cabinet has decided to provide financial assistance to the State Governments of the North Eastern Region for development of hydroelectric projects. The Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Energy Ministry in this regard. Four thousand 136 crore rupees have been sanctioned for this scheme, which will be implemented from 2024-25 to 2031-32.
