India's gross domestic product (GDP) is likely to grow at 5.8 percent in the third quarter of financial year 2022, as per latest SBI research report.India's economy expanded in the second quarter of 2021-2022 to overtake pre-pandemic levels.

A special court sentenced 38 out of the total 49 convicts to death in the 2008 Ahmedabad Bomb Blast case on February 18,2022. The remaining 11 convicts were sentenced to life imprisonment.

The Ranji Trophy 2022 league phase will comprise 38 teams from different states and union territories. There will be 57 matches in the league phase that will be played in the short window between February 16 and March 5. The knockout stage of the tournament will be held after the IPL.

France has announced the withdrawal of its troops from Mali after a breakdown in its relations with the ruling junta government in the country. The announcement comes after almost 10 years of fighting against jihadist insurgency.

Belarus leader Alexander Lukashenko said that the nation could host nuclear weapons if it faces any external threat from the West. Belarus is Russia's ally along the Ukraine border. This comes amid rise in tensions between Russia and western countries.
