Delhi University and DRDO Collaborated for Taking up Scientific Projects

In an altogether different initiative Delhi University and Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) agreed for collaboration on 6 October 2012 of undertaking scientific projects in which both will be benefitted.

Although, the memorandum of understanding (MoU)with the DRDO was signed a few months back but it is now being operationalised.

The collaboration will comprise exchange of Knowledge and technical Knowhow between DRDO Scientist and the faculty of Delhi University.

The DRDO is going to set up a centre of excellence in the Delhi University through which research projects of faculty will be directed.

The faculty will also have the option of collaborating with the DRDO scientists for their project

The DRDO laboratories across the country are going to be made accessible to the university’s students and the Students will also have an opportunity to do internships in Defence laboratories across the country.
