Gurudas Kamat to represent India at the 5th International Conference on Federalism.

The Indian Government nominated Gurudas Kamat, the Minister of State for Communications & Information Technology to represent India at the 5th International Conference on Federalism. The Fifth International Conference on Federalism is scheduled to be held at Addis Ababa in Ethiopia from 13 to 16 December 2010. The International Conferences on Federalism organised by the Government of the host country in partnership with the Forum of Federations, Canada provide a platform for practitioners and experts to share experiences on the challenges associated with operation of federal and federal-type systems. The conference was initiated in 1999 by the Forum of Federations, Canada. The first conference was held Mt. Tremblant, Canada. This was followed by the Second Conference in 2002 in St. Gallen, Switzerland, Third in Brussels, Belgium (2005), and Fourth in New Delhi, India (2007).
