GVK BIO entered into alliance with Moulder Centre for Drug Discovery Research at Temple University

Hyderabad-based drug discovery research and development organisation, GVK Biosciences (GVK BIO) on 28 November 2011 entered into an alliance with the Moulder Centre for Drug Discovery Research at Temple University, Philadelphia.

As part of the collaboration, GVK Bio would be responsible for the target validation, lead identification and lead optimisation of small molecules in selected therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular, metabolic and central nervous system disorders.

The Moulder Center is stated to be used for both internal research within Temple University and for external collaborations with pharmaceutical and biotech companies and other universities. It  is focussed on drug discovery in the area of pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. It works with industry and other universities in joint research projects.
