The Central Government of India led by Modi has launched the 'Har Ghar Tiranga 3.0' campaign. The campaign will start on August 9 and will continue until August 15, when India will be celebrating its 78th Independence Day.
The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is designed to boost patriotism among citizens as the nation prepares for its Independence Day celebrations. In a symbolic move, PM Modi updated his profile picture to the national flag and urged others to do the same.
PM Modi Urges Huge Participation
On August 9, Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted on X, encouraging people to share selfies with the Indian flag and to change their profile pictures to the Tricolour.
He said, "As Independence Day nears, let's make HarGharTiranga a memorable mass movement. I’ve changed my profile picture, and I invite you all to do the same. Don’t forget to share your selfies on https://harghartiranga.com."
Earlier, on July 28, during his monthly radio show 'Mann Ki Baat,' PM Modi had launched the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, urging everyone to proudly display the Indian flag.
How to Participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign?
On August 8, 2024, the government announced the third edition of this campaign, which will run from August 9 to August 15, 2024.
The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, which begins a few days before Independence Day, encourages people to bring the Indian flag home and proudly hoist it. The public will receive a participation certificate for completing the task and reading the pledge provided on the official site.

Tiranga Bike Rally by MPs
Members of Parliament are organizing a special event called the Tiranga bike rally. The rally is scheduled for August 13 at 8:00 am in Delhi.
The rally will begin at Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan, pass by India Gate, and finish at Major Dhyan Chand Stadium.
How to Download Har Ghar Tiranga Participation Certificate?
Step 1: Visit the official page, harghartiranga.com
Step 2: Click the 'Click to Participate' tab on the homepage
Step 3: Enter your name, phone number, state, and country in the designated area.
Step 4: A pledge will appear on the screen that you have to read: “I swear that I will hoist the Tricolour, respect the spirit of our freedom fighters and brave sons, and dedicate myself to the development and progress of India.”
Step 5: Click on the tab 'Take Pledge' after reading.
Step 5: Upload your selfie with the Tricolour and click 'Submit.'
Step 6: Click on 'Generate Certificate' to get your participation certificate.
In 2022, as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Indian government started the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. That year, over 5 crore selfies were uploaded to the campaign's website. With the third edition of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign central government aims to increase the numbers this year.
