Hindi translation of eight books of the Tintin comic series was launched in New Delhi by the Embassy of Belgium in collaboration with publisher Om Books International on 30 November 2010. Tintin has already been translated from its original French language to 58 other languages since the time it was first created 80 years back by Herge. Tintin's four-legged companion Snowy, has been christened Natkhat in the Hindi version while the protagonist Tintin gets to keep his original name.
