State-owned Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) on 8 March 2012 resumed oil supplies to Kingfisher Airlines after the airline agreed to pay for daily fuel off-take.HPCL had stopped re-fuelling the Vijay Mallaya's airline on 7 March 2012. HPCL is Kingfisher's biggest aviation fuel supplier.
HPCL decided to resume supplies after hectic negotiations with Kingfisher. Kingfisher Airline started its operations in 2005. It suffered a loss of more than 1100 crore rupees in 2011-2012.
