CESC Ltd, on 7 December 2010, announced its plan to build a 90 MW hydroelectric power project on the Siyom River in West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The name of the project is Jarong Hydro Electric project .The cost of the project is 630 crore rupees. The project would create many jobs for the local people.
CESCLtd is the RPG Group power utility which manly works in thermal power sector but this time in Aruncahl Pradesh it ventured into hydel segment.
