Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin officially opened a glass bridge off the coast of Kanyakumari that is 77 meters long and 10 meters wide. It connects the Vivekananda Rock Memorial with the Thiruvalluvar statue, which is 133 feet high.
The glass bridge, reputed to be the nation's first of its kind, provides visitors with a mesmerizing view of the surrounding sea and the monuments of the two savants. According to a tourism representative, "it offers a thrilling experience of walking above the sea."
Built at a Cost of 37 Cr.
The state government completed the project at a cost of ₹37 crore, and it was inaugurated to mark the 25th anniversary of the Thiruvalluvar statue's unveiling by the late Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi.

The glass bridge with a bowstring arch is made to resist salty winds. It will be the newest Land's End attraction, thus becoming a famous tourist destination.
