Indian film Angry Indian Goddesses voted first runner-up at the 40th Toronto Film Festival

Indian film Angry Indian Goddesses, a story about a group of Indian girls in Goa gone wild, was voted as the first runner-up at the 40th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) which concluded on 20 September 2015.

The film directed by Pan Nalin was voted as the first runner-up for the Grolsch People’s Choice Award at the festival.

Angry Indian Goddesses is a powerful portrayal of new girl power and women empowerment in contemporary Indian society.

Toronto International Film Festival is a publicly attended film festival held each September in Toronto, Canada. Founded in 1976, TIFF is now one of the most prestigious events of its kind in the world.
