Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy was sworn in as the new Andhra pradesh CM.

Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy of the Congress Party was sworn in as the 16th Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on 24 November 2010 in Hyderabad. The oath was administered by Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan. Reddy succeeded Konijeti Rosaiah who resigned as Andhra Pradesh CM on 24 Nov 2010 citing poor health conditions.


Kiran Kumar Reddy was elected to Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly for the first time in 1989. He was elected to the state assembly from Vayalpad (Valmikipuram) in 1989, 1999 and 2004. Reddy was never made a minister in any of the Congress State cabinets. Kiran Kumar Reddy was elected as Speaker of the 13th Andhra Pradesh Assembly in June 2009.
