National Cadet Corps National Games 2015 concluded

Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh NCC Directorates won the Raksha Mantri Overall Champions trophy.

The National Cadet Corps-National Games 2015 on 17 October 2015 was concluded with a spectacular finale in Delhi.

The winners were presented with trophies for each event of the 11-day long sports event. Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh NCC Directorates won the Raksha Mantri Overall Champions trophy.

The games were conducted by the Directorate General of NCC Lt. General Aniruddha Chakravarty, and were attended by around 2000 cadets from 17 states and UTs directorates.

The games saw competitions in seven sports disciplines, Football, Hockey, Athletics, Kabbadi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball and Shooting.

About NCC National Games -2015

The NCC National Games holds its origin in 1997 when they were held as a part of the NCC Golden Jubilee Celebrations. Later, it was decided to conduct different games on the regional levels.

Since 2013, the NCC National Games are being conducted in a centralized format at Delhi. The games aim at identifying the sportsperson in the cadets and provide them with a feel of a major sporting event and prepare them with essential match temperament and further their sporting careers.
