The Planning Commission of India on 29 March 2012 approved 2250 crore rupees plan allocation for Tripura for financial year 2012-13. The allocation marked a hike of 15.38 per cent compared to previous fiscal year.
The state received satisfactory growth rate particularly in agriculture and services sectors during 11th Plan period (2007-12). While, the agriculture witnessed a growth rate of 6.4 per cent the services sector grew by 7.6 per cent.
The Chief Minister said that efforts are on to create investor-friendly environment and open up social sector for private investments.
Tripura has got the maximum numbers of people enrolled under Aadhaar project of Unique Identification Authority of India as around 90 per cent of entire state’spopulation has already been covered.
