Plutonium was traced in soil around the Fukushima nuclear complex on 29 March 2011. It may aggravate the problems for Japan to contain the world’s worst atomic crisis since Chernobyl. The scientists stated that the radioactive material which is used in nuclear bombs was found in soil at five locations near the Fukushima nuclear complex. Plutonium can aggravate the health problems for Japanese People already facing the radiation threat.
The Fukushima Daichi plant was hit by a huge earthquake and tsunami on 11 March 2011.
