Scientists claimed that a meteorite, which fell in Morocco in July 2011 was from Mars. This event happened for the first time in 50 years.
It is the fifth time that such meteorite fell from Mars. This event has occurred every 50 years. The first incident was in 1815 in France, second in 1865 in India, followed by Egypt in 1911 and Nigeria in 1962.
The latest fall of the Martian meteorite occurred near Foumzgit in Morocco, following a meteorite shower which took place in July 2011.
