The festival season in India has kicked off with Sharadiya Navratri. However, festivals like Diwali, Chhath Puja, and Karva Chauth bring even more excitement. During this time, many people who live away from home begin planning to return and celebrate with their families. However, this homecoming during the festive season proves to be a personal hell for many travelers due to the shortage of tickets.
In order to make traveling easier during these special festivals, Indian Railways always runs special trains on various routes across the country. This addition in the number of trains ensures that passengers are able to reach their destination in the festive season.
28 Special Trains to Run this Diwali
To handle the increased passenger traffic during Diwali and Chhath festivals, Central Railway is set to run 28 special train journeys. These special trains are being introduced to help manage the large number of travelers heading to northern India during this busy festive season.
