Telugu veteran actress Anajali Devi died due to cardiac arrest in Chennai on 13 January 2014. She was 86.
Anjali had worked in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada languages in more than 350 movies. She was a versatile actress and played damsel, glam doll, dancer, goddess, village belle and mother roles. She was very famous actress in black and white movies in south India.
Her first movie was Gollabhama and worked in many movies such as Raja Harishchandra, Badi Pantulu, Devata, Bhishma, Palnati Yudham, Rangula Ratnam, Keelugurram, Suvarna Sundari, Brundavanam, Anna Vadhina and Police Alludu.
Anjali won filmfare award several times as best actress and she was also the recipient of Raghupathi Venkaiah Award and Ramineni award.
She had own production house in the name of Aswini Pictures which produced movies like Bhakta Tukaram.
