After initial exclusion created controversy, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has been included in four more key cabinet committees, following an amendment issued by the Cabinet Secretariat. Singh name has been added to four more committees- Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs, Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs and Cabinet Committee on Investment and Growth and Cabinet Committee on Employment and Skill Development.
3. World Cup 2019: ICC requests MS Dhoni to remove Army insignia from gloves
The International Cricket Council has asked the BCCI to get the army symbol removed from Dhoni's gloves. MS Dhoni was spotted wearing the 'Balidaan Badge' on his wicket-keeping gloves during India’s opening match in World Cup 2019 against South Africa.
Women in Delhi will be allowed to travel completely free of cost on all DTC buses, cluster buses and Delhi metro trains. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced free of cost Delhi Metro and DTC bus rides for women.

PM Modi has reconstituted NITI Aayog, dropping full-time member Bibek Debroy and including Home Minister Amit Shah as ex-officio member. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar have also been included as ex-officio members of Niti Aayog.
Kerala’s health minister K K Shylaja confirmed that the youth was infected with Nipah virus, after Pune-based National Institute of Virology, which tested the man's blood samples and confirmed the presence of the virus. The youth studied in a college in Thodupuzha in Idukki and had stayed in Thrissur recently. He was hospitalized with a high fever in Kochi 10 days ago.
Ajit Doval has been reappointed as National Security Adviser for another five years. He has also been given Cabinet Rank for contribution to national security. Under Ajit Doval's supervision, India conducted Surgical Strike in 2016 and Balakot airstrikes 2019.
