Uber launched the low cost service UberGO in India

Uber launched the low cost service UberGO in India which will be lower than an auto-rickshaw cost.

Uber on 19 November 2014 launched the low cost service UberGO in India. With this, Tata Indica Vista, Etios Liva, Maruti Ritz and Maruti Swift of Uber service will cost lower than an auto-rickshaw.  

This service will be available in all the ten cities where it has services in India that is Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, New Delhi, Pune and Mumbai.

UberGo service will have hatchbacks ferrying passengers at a minimum fare that is as low as 30 rupees in cities like Jaipur, while it is 80 rupees in metros like Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi.

At present, Uber has three types of services-UberGO, UberX and UberBLACK. UberX was the low-cost service before UberGO. UberBLACK is the premium service.

Recently, Uber launched a mobile wallet service with PayTM to get around Reserve Bank of India regulations on credit card use. Customers can add their PayTM account to the Uber payment system and can use the prepaid balance to pay Uber.
