Lieutenant General Shankar Narayan has recently taken over as the Commandant of Army Hospital (R&R) – the apex hospital of the Armed Forces Medical Services. He is an alumnus of 1982 ('U') batch. Lieutenant General Shankar did post-doctoral sub-specialization in Neonatology from New Delhi and trained in Pediatric Liver Transplantation at King's College Hospital, London.
