With the goal of combining many railway services into a single, easily navigable platform, the Ministry of Railways introduced the "SwaRail" SuperApp on January 31, 2025. The app is currently in its beta testing phase and can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
The main goal of "SwaRail" SuperApp is to improve user experience by combining several services, which eliminates the need for different programs.
Services Offered by SwaRail App
The "SwaRail" SuperApp offers a variety of services, such as:
- Ticket Booking: Allows passengers to book both reserved and unreserved train tickets.
- Platform & Parcel Booking: Users can buy platform tickets and book parcel delivery services.
- Train & PNR Status: Provides live updates on train schedules and PNR status.
- Food Ordering: Passengers can order meals while traveling.
- Rail Madad: A helpdesk for filing complaints and getting assistance.
The app seeks to simplify the user experience by merging various services, removing the need for several apps, and cutting down on device storage usage.
