Zaheer Khan appointed Captain of Delhi Daredevils for 2016 IPL season

Zaheer KhanZaheer Khan was on 28 March 2016 appointed as captain of the Delhi Daredevils team for 2016 Indian Premier League season.

He would replace South African all-rounder JP Duminy who was captain in the last season.

About Zaheer Khan

• He joined Delhi Daredevils franchise in 2015.

• He played seven of the team's 14 matches and took seven wickets at an average of 22.28 and an economy-rate of 6.45. 

• He retired from international cricket in October 2015, having played 92 Tests with 311 wickets. He took 282 ODI wickets in 200 matches. He also played 17 Twenty20 Internationals for India.

• He also played for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians before joining Delhi Dare Devils in 2015.
