The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is expected to open to traffic in January 2025. Initially, it was anticipated to be completed by December 2024, but recent updates indicate a slight delay.

Conclusion
Nitin Gadkari, the Minister of Road Transport & Highways, announced at the Times Network India Economic Conclave 2024 that the Delhi-Dehradun Highway project, divided into two packages, is progressing rapidly.
He shared that an elevated road starting from Akshardham will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi within 15-20 days.
Additionally, a Rs 10,000 crore project extending from Delhi’s Kalindi Kunj to Faridabad is also set for inauguration during this time.
The entire Dehradun Highway project is expected to be completed within the next three months, reducing travel time between Delhi and Dehradun to just two hours.
Gadkari also highlighted other upcoming expressways, including the Mumbai-Delhi Expressway, which will cut travel time to Jaipur to two hours.
Key travel times, such as Delhi to Amritsar in four hours and Delhi to Mumbai in 12 hours, are part of a larger initiative to build 36 green expressways across India.
