    The Public Health Department of Maharashtra Government is making invariable and rigorous endeavor to devise and implement schemes to make certain ample health care services to the people aligned with the National Health Policy. While applying these systems, steps are being taken to make enhancement in health care system to accommodate to the health needs of the people in rural areas, mainly in the tribal & backward regions of Maharashtra.


    Objectives of health programs 


    • To provide ample & qualitative precautionary and remedial health care to the people

    • To guarantee greater access to primary health care by fetching medical institutions as close to the people as probable or through mobile health units, mainly in the under - served & backward districts

    • To perk up maternal & child health with a view to plummeting maternal & infant mortality

    • To develop hospital services at secondary levels both in terms of personnel and infrastructure

    • To give guidance to nurses, doctors & other paramedical staff to meet the requirements of health care by upgrading their knowledge and skills

    • To put into practice various national health programs
