Punjab: Rural Population as per Census 2011

    Out of the entire population of the Punjab state 833,463,448 people out of the total population live in rural areas in which the number of males are 427,632,643 and females are 405,830,805. In rural areas, the sex ratio is 949 females per 1000 males.


    The total number of children between 0-6 years living in rural areas are 121,285,762. Average literacy rate in rural areas is 67.77%.
