Rajasthan: Agriculture Statistics (Timely Reporting Scheme)
Timely Reporting Scheme supported by Indian Government is being executed in Rajasthan since 1972. In Timely Reporting Scheme, it is proposed to enter at swift, consistent and precise approximations of locale instantly after the sowing of primary crops that are, Rabi, Zaid and Kharif in Rajasthan on account of definite area listing in the chosen 20 % villages through trial survey. These approximations dole out the Government to evaluate agricultural predictions during the current year and to take rapid policy actions concerning agricultural fabrication, exports and imports of the agricultural productions.
The main ideas behind Timely Reporting Scheme are:
- To get hold of unswerving and statistically specific approximations of area of chief crops instantly after planting of crops is accomplished
- To get hold of the approximations of area of non-irrigated and irrigated crops disjointedly
- To get hold of the estimates of locale under diversities of crops
- To acquire the estimates of land consumption due to 9 fold categorization
