November seems to be a month for international summits with five virtual summits scheduled in the month. Amid the pandemic, India is all geared up to participate in all of them.

In three out of these five summits, Prime Minister Modi will be coming face-to-face with Chinese President Xi Jinping amid the India-China border tensions.

Let us have a look at all the summits which will be held in November 2020:

1- Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Heads of State Summit: On November 10, 2020, Prime Minister Modi will be taking part in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Heads of State summit. The summit is likely to focus on various issues including terrorism and border security. The summit will be hosted by Russia.

2- ASEAN Summit: From November 13 to November 15, 2020, India will be taking part in the India-Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit. The summit will be virtually addressed by Prime Minister Modi and will be hosted by Vietnam.

3- BRICS Summit: On November 17, 2020, Prime Minister Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping will be taking part in the Brazil-Russia-India-China-South Africa (BRICS) Summit. The theme for this year's summit is likely to be 'BRICS Partnership for Global Stability, Shared Security and Innovative Growth.’ The summit will be hosted by Russia.

4- G-20 Summit: From November 21 to November 22, 2020, Prime Minister Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping will be attending the G-20 Summit. The summit will also witness other world leaders including the possible winner of the U.S. Presidential Elections 2020. The summit will be hosted by Saudi Arabia.

Pakistan's Foreign Secretary Shah Mehmood Qureshi is likely to attend this summit. The summit will be hosted by India. India and Pakistan joined the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in 2017 as full members.

The fourth India-Africa summit was also expected this year in New Delhi but due to the global pandemic, there's no indication about it yet. The third India-Africa summit took place in 2015 and the next meeting was scheduled after five years, i.e., 2020.

All the summits in the month of November 2020 will be held virtually amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. India will participate in all five of them, including the one that it will be hosting. Two summits will be hosted by Russia, one by Vietnam and Saudi Arabia respectively.
