The major items that India exports to Turkey consist of auto components, textiles, chemicals, and mineral fuels while imports include apples, marble, gold, and mineral oil. Other than trade, India’s relations with both the countries were strong earlier, with more than 4,500 Indian citizens living in Turkey and Azerbaijan.
After the recent tensions between India and Pakistan, both the countries expressed support for Pakistan. After this, the diplomatic relations with Turkey and Azerbaijan are uncertain. Indian travel companies also advised citizens to avoid visiting both the countries.
