What is the AI Odyssey initiative by Microsoft?

On Monday, Microsoft brought forward an initiative named AI Odyssey, which holds the mission to equip over 100,000 developers in the country with the latest artificial intelligence tools and technologies.

Microsoft aims to facilitate a skilled workforce that is able to leverage artificial intelligence technology to cater to various challenges. 

The AI Odyssey provides a comprehensive learning experience, which is structured in a way that helps developers attain new skills and showcase them that are needed for important projects. 

The initiative introduces a platform for the developers of India to boost the growth of the country by creating solutions and making use of their skills to find answers to real-world issues. The duration of the program would be one month. 

The program is open to everybody in India who is an AI enthusiast, no matter what their experience level or background is. The program consists of two levels that are needed to be completed by the participants by January 31, 2024. 

Making use of Azure AI services to create solutions for a myriad of scenarios is what the participants enjoy at the first level. At this level, the participants will be provided with access to important code samples, guides, and resources. 

In the second level of the AI Odyssey, the participants are challenged to showcase their artificial intelligence skills via an online assessment wherein interactive lab tasks will be featured. This makes the participants earn the Microsoft Applied Skills credentials. 

Participants who succeed in both these levels can be fortunate to win a VIP Pass for the Microsoft AI Tour. The tour will be held on February 8, 2024 in Bangalore.

The Managing Director of Microsoft, India, Irina Ghose expresses that the Microsoft Applied Skills credential is going to aid the developers to showcase their creativity and competence in AI scenarios.
