Google Associate Product Manager (2015-2016):
Tulsee began her full-time career at Google as an Associate Product Manager. Her primary responsibility was to enhance Google Search so that it could provide more helpful, local responses to users worldwide.
YouTube Product Manager (2016-2018):
She headed projects at YouTube to make machine learning inclusive and serve more types of creators. She worked to increase the diversity of recommendations. This was her initial experience handling the concept of "AI fairness" directly in a product.
Leading Responsible AI at Google (2018-2024):
Tulsee realized that there was a disconnect between creating AI products and what researchers were working on with respect to AI ethics. So, she proposed and developed a new role exclusively dedicated to responsible AI. She was the head of Google's Responsible AI and Machine Learning Fairness teams. She initiated projects throughout various teams to make Google's AI initiatives more fair, inclusive, safe, and open. She led a team of 10 product managers and coached more than 200 engineers.
