Assam HS Board Exam 2021: Class 12 Board Exams to cover full syllabus, says AHSEC

Assam HS Board Exam 2021: As per the updates, The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) announced its decision to conduct the class 12th 2022 board exams by covering the whole syllabus. Despite the loss of more than four months of offline classes during the second wave of COVID-19, AHSEC decided to cover full syllabus in the board exams. The council justified the decision citing that NEET and JEE aspirants will suffer if the class 12th syllabus is reduced.

As stated in the notice by AHSEC, "This is for general information to all the principals of the institutions/registrars of the universities having HS course under AHSEC that the final examination 2022 will be held covering the full syllabus of H.S 2nd year." As per media reports, AHSEC secretary Pulak Patgiri said to press that the decision has been taken keeping in mind the futuristic plans of the students, mostly medical and engineering aspirants. He stated, “At the Class X level, reduction of syllabus does not matter much. But such a decision will have a serious adverse impact on the students appearing for competitive exams.”

Multiple Options in Board Exams

AHSEC officials, however, said there will be multiple options in the questions of the board exam to lessen the worries of students. The council is going ahead with a tentative plan to conduct the next Class XII boards in February-March next year, whereas filling up the exam forms is set to begin on November 1. AHSEC is expecting around 2.5 lakh students in the 2022 board exam. As per media reports, AHSEC sources said the council is in a fix on the sensitive issue after a prolonged delay in the announcement on course curtailment. The CBSE had announced the curtailment.

Assam Class 11th Admission 2021

Earlier, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) released the merit list for admission to Class 11 in online mode. The AHSEC HS merit list was released at darpan.ahseconline.in. Along with the selection list, a waiting list for AHSEC Class 11 admission has also been released. Candidates had to select only one institution for admission. They will be able to do so by using their login details at the admission portal.
