Assam HS Exam Routine 2019: AHSEC releases revised class 12 timetable, check dates here

Assam Board

The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council or the AHSEC has released the revised HS exam routine 2019. The board has made some small changes in the timetable. The candidates who are preparing for the examination can download the timetable from the official website of the board i.e. ahsec.nic.in. According to the timetable released by the board, the class 12 examination will be held from February 12, 2019, to March 14, 2019.

The candidates must note that the board will conduct the examination in two sessions i.e. morning and afternoon. Assam HS Exam Routine 2019 is available in the PDF format. The practical exams will begin from January 11 to January 30, 2019.

The subjects with 30 marks weightage will start from 9 am and will continue till 10 am (Morning session) and for the afternoon session, the examination will start from 1:30 pm till 3:00 pm. While subjects with 50 marks weightage will have the examination timings from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and for second slot 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

About SEBA and AHSEC

The Assam Board is well known as the Secondary Education Board of Assam (SEBA) across the state. The SEBA was established on January 29, 1962. There are many governments and private schools affiliated with this board. The SEBA looks after the development and propagation of secondary level education in the state of Assam. In addition to this responsibility, the board also conducts the annual Assam SSLC Board Exam every year in the month of February – March.

When it comes to Higher Secondary Education, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) is the board that looks after it. In the state of Assam, the higher secondary education translates to 11th and 12th Class and the responsibility of ensuring quality education for these classes rests with AHSEC. The AHSEC Board also conducts the annual Higher Secondary Examination for all the three streams i.e. Arts, Commerce and Science.
