CBSE Class 12th Result Assessment Criteria 2021: Grades to be considered instead of Marks for Class 12 Students

CBSE 12th Result 2021 Update: As per the latest update, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the evaluation criteria and assessment policy for Class 12 students after the cancellation of Board Exams. Latest reports have hinted that given the exceptional circumstances of the pandemic, the Board plans to use Grades instead of awarding marks to the students for this academic session. CBSE 12th Result 2021 Update: According to latest media reports, the CBSE is expected to release the evaluation criteria and the assessment policy for the Class 12 students since the board examinations have been canelled. As per reports, considering the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, the CBSE board plans to use Grades instead of marks for the students for this academic session. An evaluation criterion for the class 12 students is yet to be finalised by the board although the Expert Committee is expected to share the details regarding the evaluation pattern soon. The Supreme Court has given the board 15 days to finalise and announce the assessment policy after the cancellation of the class 12 CBSE exams was announced.

Feedback, Opinions Invited from Stakeholders

With the Board Exams cancelled, the board officials have been busy compiling the alternative assessment policy and evaluation criteria for the students. As part of this process, suggestions, feedback and opinions have been invited by the board from various stakeholders, including school principals, parents, academic experts and others. One suggestion that has come from several school principal has sought use of grades instead of marks for the compilation of CBSE Board Class 12 Result 2021.

Grades Based on Continuous And Comprehensive Evaluation

Earlier, along with the marks secured by the students, the CBSE Board use to award grades to the students i.e. A1, A, B1, B, C1, C, D ������?��������� E on the basis of Continuous And Comprehensive Evaluation i.e. CCE Policy. This policy was specially implemented for Class 10 students and was appreciated by all i.e. students, teachers, parents and academic experts. However, the system was stopped mid-way. But now, with cancellation of Class 12 board Exams due to the pandemic, the board has to prepare CBSE 12th Result 2021 on the basis of internal assessment and therefore it is considering using Continuous And Comprehensive Evaluation Process and award of grades to the students.

However, students should know that this development is only at a proposal level and is only being considered by the board as a possible alternative among many. There are many other suggestions with regards to evaluation policy which are under consideration and the final one will be notified by the board soon.
