
CBSE 12th Exam Date 2021 Soon: CBSE Board is all set to announce the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 dates for the pending exams by 1st June as per the details provided by media agencies. In the light of the pandemic, the board is expected to follow short exam format and also use objective type question papers for the Class 12 Board Exams. The general agreement around this was build at the high-level meeting held yesterday in the chairmanship of Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in the presence of Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’. Media reports have suggested that class 12 exams are likely to be conducted between July 15 and August 25.
Two Possible Options Discussed
At the high-level meeting convened today, the Education Minister discussed a number of issues and possible options to hold the pending Class 12 Board Exams, especially for CBSE 12th Exam 2021. One of the options discussed today included holding Class 12 Board exams only for a few major subjects and awarding marks for the rest on the basis of that. Another option which was discussed involved holding the exam at self-centres i.e. the schools where students were studying but changing the exam pattern to only include objective type questions. These two options have emerged as the two most favoured possibility for holding the exams amid the current difficult circumstances of COVID-19 pandemic.
Feedback Invited from States by 25th May
After presenting the two options discussed above, the Education Ministry asked various states to share feedback on the same by 25th May. The Union Government has left the final decision of taking a call on holding the Class 12 State Board Exams on respective state governments after reviewing the prevailing situations in the respective states.
