The CBSE Board has released an important notice about the Class 10 and 12 exams for 2025, which is starting from February 15. The notice is mainly for school principals and heads, stressing the importance of following exam rules closely.
Focus on Fair Exams
CBSE emphasized that fair exams are essential for students' academic success and warned of serious consequences for rule violations. Schools should inform students about exam ethics, rules, and the "Unfair Means Rules" before the exams start. Even though instructions are given on admit cards, principals should ensure students are aware of these rules.
Key Guidelines for Schools and Students
- Schools should teach students about the exam rules and penalties for breaking them.
- Exam officials should be briefed on their responsibilities.
- Students must avoid spreading rumors that could disturb the exams.
- Parents should also be made aware of the exam rules.
- Students must not bring banned items to the exam center.
Changes to Unfair Means Act (UFM)
The notice introduces a new rule under the UFM Act: students who spread rumors affecting the exam process will face strict penalties, including cancellation of their current and future exams. A new penalty also applies for carrying electronic devices that can communicate during exams, and violations must be reported by invigilators.
CBSE has asked everyone to follow these rules strictly to maintain the fairness of the exams. To get the complete notice Click here.
