DoE Delhi Announces Winter Break from Jan 1 to 15, Classes 9 to 12 to Have Remedial Classes

The Directorate of Education, Delhi has announced the winter breaks for government schools in the capital city. As per reports, the vacations will be from January 1 to 15, 2025. The directorate has however introduced a special initiative for students from classes 9 to 12 during the vacation period.
As part of the special initiative, remedial classes will be conducted to help students from classes 9 to 12 to help strengthen their grasp on essential subjects. Students from classes 9 and 11 will have remedial classes for English, Science and Mathematics which will be taught daily to ensure that they are well prepared for the upcoming exams. Students from classes 10 and 12 will have remedial classes for revision and practising their pre-board question papers.
School principals have been instructed to prepare and submit a timetable for the remedial classes before the winter break ensuring that each period lasts a minimum of one hour. It must be noted that attending remedial classes is mandatory for students and they must come to school in proper school uniform. School authorities are also required to inform students and parents about the schedule for remedial classes through morning or evening assemblies, School Management Committee (SMC) meetings, notes in student diaries, and group SMS notifications
