Delhi University has announced the reopening of the colleges affiliated to the university, departments and centres in phases. According to university officials, classes will be conducted in both offline and online mode. As per reports, the practical classes for the final year undergraduate and postgraduate students will begin from September 15, 2021 although the theory classes will be conducted online until further notice. The decision to reopen the colleges has been taken by the university considering the guidelines issued by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority.
In an earlier order issued, the Delhi University had announced its decision to reopen the colleges in phases. The Delhi University administration officials also have set out guidelines to be followed for the reopening of the classes.
DU Reopening Guidelines
- As per the guidelines issued by Delhi University, the teaching and non-teaching staff members are required to be fully vaccinated.
- Students who wish to attend the offline classes are also required to have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and students who live in hostels must be fully vaccinated.
- The theory classes for the undergraduate and postgraduate students will be conducted in the online mode while the practicals and other activities for the final year Undergraduate and postgraduate students will be allowed in the offline mode from September 15, 2021 onwards with 50 percent attendance.
- Attending offline classes is not mandatory.
