IGNOU’s New Course on Journalism: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched a new PG Journalism course under titled Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication (MAJMC) on Friday – 14th January 2022. IGNOU Vice Chancellor Professor Nageshwar Rao held the international launch of the programme yesterday. Candidates can register and apply for admissions to the programme via official website i.e. ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. The last date to apply for the programme is 31ast January 2022. IGNOU’s MAJMC Programme – Details
Being a master’s degree programme, IGNOU’s Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication (MAJMC) will be a two year course. The programme is launched under the aegis of School of Journalism and New Media Studies, which will be responsible for regulating it. In terms of eligibility criteria, candidates who have completed their Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and as the programme will be allowed to register for admission to the programme. In addition to this, as this course is being held online, access to computers, Internet and basic knowledge of word processing will be required as well.

- Step 1: Log onto the Samarth Portal i.e. ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in
- Step 2: On Homepage, locate link for New Registration and Click On it
- Step 3: Entre the details asked for registration process, verify and submit them
- Step 4: You will be provided your new login credentials; use them to log onto the portal
- Step 5: New page with IGNOU January session 2022 application form will be displayed on the screen
- Step 6: Fill-in the application form and upload the supporting documents
- Step 7: Pay the requisite application fee as notified on the portal
- Step 8: Verify all the details and submit the form on the website
- Step 9: Download the confirmation page and take printout of the same
