The official update from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has confirmed that IGNOU PhD Admission 2022 application date has been extended until 14^th January 2022. In an official statement issued by NTA, the university mentioned that in view of the difficult situations pertaining due to COVID-19 the decision to extend the application date has been taken. IGNOU PhD Admission 2022 - Application Correction Window

According to the official announcement, following the closure of application date on 14^th January, the university will open application correction window for the registered candidates. All the candidates who are registered for the PhD Entrance Test will be given two-days time to edit any mistakes or make changes to the IGNOU PhD Admission 2022 application form. The application correction widow will open from 16^th to 18^th January 2022 until 11:50 PM in the evening.

IGNOU PhD Entrance Test 2021 – Details

Admission to the PhD programme at IGNOU will be offered via the entrance test being conducted by NTA – the National Testing Agency. The entrance test for IGNOU PhD Admission 2021 will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT) which will be held over a period of 3 hours. The test paper will consist of 100 questions of  which 50 question will be on Research Methodology and rest 50% weightage would be on Specific subjects. In terms of marking scheme, the test will follow +4 marks with no negative marking. However, Un-answered/un-attempted will be given no marks. Candidates who qualify in the entrance exam will be called in for an interview as the final screening round. In terms of overall admission process, the Entrance Test shall carry a weightage of 70% and 30% weightage shall be given to the interview.
